Halifax was abuzz with electrifying events on July 1st, Canada's birthday, as the Halifax Partnership presented a vibrant lineup of free events, including family-friendly activities, a parade, cultural showcases, and fireworks, inspiring Canadian pride and connection.
Haligonians celebrated Canada Day in style with a vibrant parade, a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Bedford Volunteer Firefighters Association, and a fun-filled Kids' Canada Day Party at DeWolf Park. The excitement continued with Desi Fest held at 3pm on the Halifax Waterfront, which featured live music, an international DJ, and a spectacular Canada Day fireworks scheduled for 10pm. Halifax Transit provided complimentary ferry service on the holiday.
Spectators were prepared to be thrilled,and were not disappointed, by a spectacular celebration of Canadian pride! The KANA'TA Canada Day fireworks display was poised to electrify the Halifax Harbour, weather permitting, as the Halifax Waterfront was alive with vibrant live music performances and rich cultural events.
